Nice shot!! I love Juncos. They used to come to my deck all the time when I lived near the woods. But, now I live in the city, and I no longer have a bird feeder:(

I took a picture of an Oregon junco this afternoon, too. I almost posted it, but decided to wait for later in the week - just to have something. I've got a busy week and won't have much thinking time.

We had about 50 in our backyard this afternoon. Some were alot lighter in color and I couldn't decide if they were female, or another variety of Junco.

Oh Janet...you are the first blogger I have found who is into bird watching...I am a very ameture bird but I love it...your photos are awesome....I am surrounded by a variety of birds...I have been keeping my journal...the frequent birds at my feeder are stellar jays, junco, bush tits,quail love the left overs and so many more. I have added you to my link list....thank you!!!

I got a pretty good picture of a stellar at my bird feeder this morning I will post it.

Yeah sorry for not making it to Colorado..thought I would stay away with all those avalanches and all....

Beautiful! You timed that one just right. We have a lot of golfinches and robins...warblers and sparrows. Not sure if I've seen a Junco here at home.
